AHEPA District #26 (British Columbia) held their 29th Annual Scholarship Dinner on Saturday, January 13th 2018, where $15,000.00 in scholarships were awarded to the most exceptional students from BC.

The event, which was held at the Vancouver Hellenic Community Centre, was attended by over 180 people.

Honourary guests included Raymond Louie; acting Mayor City of Vancouver, and Tassoula Berggren; Honourary Consul of Cyprus.

Each year, AHEPA chapters around the world, award close to one million dollars in scholarships; and British Columbia leads the way in Canada for the amount awarded.

The diligent committee in Vancouver works close to 6 months every year, to ensure that worthy students are rewarded for their hard work.

The Vancouver committee includes: John Preovolos, Bernadette Falias, Paul Michael, John Alevras, George Skrivanos, Gus Niketas, and George Vassilas; who also serves as AHEPA District #26 Governor.

For Hellenic students in BC, applications for these scholarships are available every August, and they can be picked up at the local Greek Church.

Students can also apply for scholarships directly from AHEPA Canada, by following this link.
