Hellenic Riders Riding Club: Passion for Bikes and “Philotimo”

“Hellenic Riders Riding Club” is a fairly new Greek group united by ‘philotimo’ and the love for motorcycles. The Club was created by a group of friends in Canada, who got together through common interests, and who are proud of their Greek heritage.

Group founder, Nick Andricopoulos, took the old school ‘respectful approach’ and formed Hellenic Riders Riding Club.

Speaking with Greek Reporter, Andricopoulos stressed that they are not a ‘Motorcycle Club’ (MC), but rather a ‘riding club’, who acknowledge the rules that govern most MC clubs, and who respect their structure and mandates.

Within the group, they work together towards common goals without involving politics or drama.

In short, “we are basically a group of friends that have bonded through our passion for riding; our love for our Hellenic culture, and our loyalty towards each other,” notes Andricopoulos.

Hellenic Riders are proof that true, respectful values can exist amongst loyal Greeks. The collaborative efforts of all their members promotes harmonious unity, with respectful conduct towards everyone within the motorcycle community.

Besides their passion for bikes and riding, their Hellenic heritage and generosity propel them to make regular contributions to charitable institutions, with a particular focus on children.

They do not seek out accolades, but rather hope that their contributions inspire others to follow suit by supporting their youth.

“Our vision is to establish an international base uniting fellow Hellenic motorcycle riders around the world, that are prepared to maintain and uphold the basic fundamentals of the group,” points out Andricopoulos.

Presently, interest in forming chapters outside of Canada, have poured in from the UK, Australia, the USA and within Greece, as well.

Even though the overwhelming interest has been truly inspirational to the present Canadian chapter and its founder Nick Andricopoulos, the intention to move forward with new chapters outside of Canada will take some time to establish within 2018.

“It is imperative that all future chapters uphold the respectful representation and commitment towards the communities that they reside within, along with the Hellenic community, and the biker community as a whole,” says Andricopoulos.
