Greeks Win 4 Medals In World Swim Event

AMEA_KANDAGreece won two medals in the International Paralympics Committee (IPC) Swimming World Championships in Montreal on August 13.

Christos Tampaksis won first place in the men’s 50m breaststroke SB2 division, while Antonios Tsapatakis won the bronze in the men’s 100m breaststroke, SB4 division and Yiannis Kostakis in the 200m freestyle, S3 division.

In the same sport two more Greek athletes got positive results. Apostolos Tsaousis terminated fifth in 1:40.78 and Andreas Katsaros sixth in 1:41.41. Regarding Costakis the performance that ranked him third was not the same as in the preliminary round (3:55.45) but  the 3:52.31 time gave the Greek swimmer the bronze medal.
