The Education Coordinating Office of the General Consulate of Greece in Toronto organized a two-day educational Conference on The Greek Language, supported by the Education Coordinating Office of Canada and the Education Department of the Greek Community of Toronto.
The symposium, held at Polymenakos Cultural Centre of the Community and at the Greek Orthodox School Metamorphosis attracted many educators teaching Greek in day schools and in schools of further training in the region.
The author Justine Frangoulis was the main speaker of the seminar. The conference included thematic workshops as well. The Consuls General, Dimitris Azemopoulos and Jacob Kiragosian, federal MP Jim Karigiannis and Antonis Artemakis gave greeting speeches. The event included a traditional dance performance and a piece of the theatrical performance A Knight for Vasoula.
