Two ceremonies, one in the City Hall of Montreal and one in the City Hall of Laval, will mark the beginning of the celebration of the 25th March National Anniversary. There will be a wreath deposit on the Heroes Monument of Laval and a major parade at Jean Talon Street in Montreal.

The events will be opened by a ceremony in the City Hall of Montreal on Friday. There will be a service on Sunday at Evangelismos Church, followed by a parade of 3,000 students and members  of Greek local associations at Jean Talon Street, where thousands are expected to join the commemorative events.

The celebrations for the 25th March National Anniversary will be closed by the ceremony of the General Consul, Thanos Kafopoulos, in the Greek Community of Greater Montreal. The Greek associations will have prepared the traditional fried salt cot with skordalia for Sunday noon.
