Shriner’s Children Hospital School in Montreal Named After AHEPA

The Montreal AHEPA Family (American Hellenic Education Progressive Association) donated $250,000 to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, in order to provide them with the best possible care against orthopedic and neuromusculoskeletal disorders.

After the donation, the board of directors of Shriner’s Hospital decided to name its school functioning within the hospital after the name of the leading Greek-American association in the world.

The respective event was attended by high ranking members of the Montreal and Canada AHEPA Family, the General Consultant of Greece in Montreal Thanos Kafopoulos, officials from the Greek community and Greek doctors from the broader area of Montreal.

After 6 years of efforts, Montreal AHEPA has managed to raise $250,000 in order to support the workings of the Children’s Hospital. The hospital offers its services to suffering children and their families for free.
