Under the title “New School of Athens”, the former ambassador of Canada in OOSA Dr. Kimon Valaskakis, founded a new school of politic economic thought in Canada. The school began its activities with an international appointment in Montreal. The appointment was called “The Canadian Model- Strategic Lessons for the After the Crisis World”. It began yesterday with a speech given by the former Prime Minister of Canada Mr. Jean Chrétien, who talked about the decisions he had to take when he took over the Canadian state with a 6% deficit in 1993.
The “New School of Athens”, having its base in Canada and being active all over the world, came to Dr. Valaskakis as an idea after the economic developments in Greece.
