Hart House, University of Toronto, St. George Campus, organized an information day, titled “A Glance to Hellenism”. The day was to acquaint young Canadians, Greeks or not, about the situation that prevails in Greece and Cyprus and to discuss matters concerning the two countries.
During this information day, which will be open for the public, youths from Ontario and Quebec will be given the opportunity to meet and change opinions and experiences and keep up with social issues, such as the Cypriot issue and the Greek economic crisis.
The visitors will also have the chance to visit the permanent exhibition of the Greek and Cypriot antiquities of the Royal Museum of Ontario (ROM).
Christos Karatzios from Mc Gill University will talk about the FYROM issue and about the identity of Macedonia. Konstantinos Sofokleous will deliver a speech about “The Cypriot Issue Today”. Theodoros Tolias, from York University, Schulich School of Business, will talk about the economic crisis in Greece.
