A fire caused serious damage to a well known eatery in the Plateau Mont Royal early Saturday morning.
The Brochetterie Alexandre located on Duluth St. near Châteaubriand, went up in flames around 7:50 a.m., stated a spokesperson for the fire department. About 30 firefighters were called in to extinguish the blaze, which damaged both levels of the Greek restaurant.
No one was injured.
By late Saturday afternoon, investigators had determined that faulty wiring in an electrical box on the second level had started the fire.
