The Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO) in Toronto was also well represented, and included a visit by Dr George Soleas, President of LCBO, and a supporter of all up and coming regions around the world. The Greek Consul Alexandros Ioannidis together with  Areti Skafidaki, the Greek Trade Commissioner, were at the Toronto event.

At both events, there were many beverage directors from class restaurants from both Montreal and Toronto, as well as many agents who are looking to add Greek wines to their selections.

Journalists and other wine professionals were also present at both events.

There were many Grand Tastings of wineries from various wine making regions throughout Greece, featured at the events, as well as educational workshops that were presented by Veronique Rivest in Montreal and Master Sommelier John Szabo, in Toronto.

Thee events are proof that Greek wines have become increasingly popular and continue in demand in Canada.

The per liter price was also up by 6.7%.
