Special Greek-Canadian Meeting Talks 21st-Century Migration

Migration in the 21st century will be the topic of discussion at a special symposium to take place on Saturday in Toronto.

The Hellenic Canadian Academic Association of Ontario (HCAAO), under the auspices of the Consulate General of Greece in Toronto, has organized the second HCAAO Symposium at the University of Toronto.

Keynote speaker is to be Professor Evangelia Tastsoglou of St Mary’s University who will be discussing the subject: ‘From Greece to Canada: 21st Century Transnational Migration in the Context of the Greek Crisis.’

Open to everyone, the symposium aims to showcase the scientific excellence of Greek and Greek Canadian academics of Ontario, as well as to promote and engage student participation and build collaborations and interpersonal relationships between the academic community and the general public.

It will take place in Room SF 1101 of the Sandford Fleming Building at the University of Toronto at 10 King’s College Road, Toronto, will be between 9.30 a.m. – 4. 30 p.m.
