A Taste of Greece in London, Ontario Canada has been granted $15,000 from the provincial government.
The funding will go towards the festivities of the three-day event which includes traditional Greek food, products, live music and live dancing.
The event is one of 45 cultural events in the province and the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport Eleanor McMahon pointed out the importance of preserving culture in Ontario, saying, “Through the Ontario Cultural Attractions Fund, our government is supporting a variety of exciting events across the province that showcases our art, culture and heritage,” according to neoskosmos.com.
A Taste of Greece is taking place in May over Victoria Day’s long weekend.
