Suspect in Toronto Murder Nabbed in Greece

arrested in GreeceToronto police say a man wanted in connection with the death of a University of Toronto office clerk in 2011 has been arrested in Greece. The Police Service said Mladen (Michael) Ivezic was arrested on Jan. 8 with the help of Interpol and Greek authorities.

The body of 49-year-old Allan Lanteigne was found in his west-end Toronto home on March 3, 2011 suffering what police said was “obvious signs of trauma.” Demitry Papasitiriou, whom Lanteigne married in 2004, was subsequently charged with first-degree murder.

Police said Ivezic, who was one of Papasitiriou’s business associates, was also being sought in connection with the case. Toronto police say they are working with the Ministry of the Attorney General and the Department of Justice in Ottawa to have Ivezic brought back to Canada.
