Preparations for the upcoming 4th Greek Film Festival of Montreal have already begun and Byzantine artist George Georgis kicked it off with a retrospective art exhibition held at the mezzanine of Cinéma du Parc on Oct. 13.
The Greek Film Festival is scheduled to take place in the late October, while the venue hosting the Byzantine artist’s exhibits is renowned for running quality projects and multicultural festivals over the years.
Georgis was born in Greece and was graduated from the Technological Institute of Athens. In 1974, he moved to Montreal, where he took art classes at Concordia University. After receiving his art degree, Georgis began showcasing his work in Montreal, while he has also participated in numerous art contests and festivals.
The exhibition will be running until Nov. 11 at Cinéma du Parc 3575, Avenue du Parc, Montreal.
