For some people, Greece is everywhere, no matter how far they are from their birthplace. The Greeks of Canada had a deal to make, remember the homeland and gather to talk, drink some retsina or ouzo and sing traditional Greek songs loud. A birthday party appears to be another ideal chance to party!
The Greek Canadian Community of London and Vicinity in Canada is inviting its Greek-Canadian and friends of every background to celebrate its 29th anniversary on Sept. 16. A birthday cake would not be enough so attendants will have the chance to party the Greek way, with numerous mezes and other dishes.
The Community Center is located at 965 Sarnia Rd. London Ontario, which was established in 1983. For more information on the event or the Community, visit their official website http://www.gcclondon.com/ or “like” it on Facebook.
Tickets are $20 for non-members and $10 for members. Admission is free for children under the age of 12, but seats must be reserved in advance. An annual membership costs $20.
