Applications of Greeks wanting to migrate to Canada will reach 10,000, revealed the Greek-Canadian Federal MP Jim Karygiannis, based on data from the Canadian Embassy.
He advised Greeks who wish to flee to another country for a better way of life, to be particularly careful with frauds who may try to steal their money promising them miracles.
He called Canada a “closed store” and mentioned that it has set a moratorium from today until 2013, claiming the country will not accept any new migration applications.
The veteran Scarborough-Agincourt MP, was one of nine observers sent by the Canadian Libyan Council to Libya to monitor the election process. Reporting on the Libyan people’s enthusiasm for participating at a democratic election after so long he said, “Could we learn stuff from them? Definitely,” during a stopover in Greece Monday, July 9.
