Greek-Canadian Deputy Member of the Liberal Party Jim Karygiannis, re-elected in Scarborough-Agincourt, was appointed as Shadow Minister for Multicultural Affairs from the interim Liberal leadership, despite the failure of his party in recent federal elections.
”I am feeling very honoured that the Leader of the Liberal Party trusts me and appointed me in this position” stated Mr. Karygiannis. ”I have closely collaborated with lots of national communities”. On June 1st, Jim Karygiannis accepted his appointment as Shadow Minister of Multi-Cultural Affairs from the Liberal Part leader, Bob Ray. ”I think that multiculturalism is what makes Canada different. People from all over the world are welcomed and encouraged to keep their culture and share it with other Canadians”, underlined Mr. Karygiannis. ”This cultural exchange and the acceptance of others makes Canada unique, and it is considered to be one of our state’s biggest advantages”.
