Panagiotis Psomiadis, head of the Region of Central Macedonia visited the Greek community of Montreal. During his visit he talked about everyone and everything. He said that when he is not in Greece he speaks without thinking of political parties and he apologized on behalf of all Greek governments, as he believes that none of them has adequately supported Greeks abroad. As far as FYROM is concerned, he stated that he has been supporting our country since 1992 and that “Macedonia” is not for rent or for sale. “Macedonia is Greece and Greece is Macedonia”. He added that the name is not the problem and that propaganda coming from FYROM is quite worrying. Mr. Psomiadis also underlined that Greece has to be more aggressive when it comes to national issues and that we should take care of Thrace, too. “If we are all close to each other, the country will overcome its problems. I am among those who believe that something else is hidden behind that crisis”, he mentioned.
