2010 Greek Film Festival Montreal Opens Next Friday

The 2010 Greek Film Festival in Montreal will take place from Friday, October 29^th until Thursday, November 4^th at Cinema Du Parc in Montreal. First screened will be the multi-awarded Greek-Spanish movie of Giannis Smaragdis: “El Greco”. During the weekend the movie: “First Time Godfather” will be aired with the multi-awarded animation:“Once Upon a Time There Was a Tree”.  A night dedicated to K. Kavafis will follow with a two movie presentation: “The Night Fernando Pessoa met Kostas Kavafis” by Stelios Haralampopoulos and “Kavafis” by Giannis Smaragdis. During the documentary night the awarded films: “The Call of the Mountain” and “Love’s Coliseums” will be aired. The closing ceremony will take place on November 4^th, with the classic movie: “Never on Sunday” starring Melina Merkouri.
