Bulletin reporter Michael Schwartz also teaches Modern Greek. Starting on the 21st of September he will begin teaching a 20 hour, eight week course at Toronto University’s School of Continuing Studies. No knowledge of Greek is needed; Michael will take you through the alphabet, basic conversation, ordering food and drinks at Greek restaurants (yes, that does include the Danforth!) and many of the everyday situations you can expect when meeting Greek people. You’ll shop til you drop, laze on the beach, book rooms, and even get something for that upset tummy.
So whether you are visiting Greece or you have Greek friends and family, join the course. Learn also about Greece and its lifestyle, and even about the places you are going to visit. Above all, learn a beautiful language spoken by beautiful people. There are already 200,000 Greeks in Toronto to get you going!
Contact the University at (416) 978- 2400 to register or check online on the university’s website.
